New innovations among modern day Christians: They are wearing crosses around their necks, and hanging crosses in their cars. It seems that they are now worshipping the cross as well. The Bible itself refutes this by warning not to worship ANY GRAVEN IMAGE. Crosses are definitely “graven images.” Further, how can you prove that the figures and photos depicting Jesus are a true reflection of what he looked like? Remember that the camera was invented about 1,800 years after Jesus departed from this earth.
(I Thessalonians 5:21): “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” Can worshipping the cross be good? Remember, no one in their proper senses will want to worship something that has harmed someone who is beloved to them. Will you worship a gun or knife that kills your child, mother or father or some one you love?
